Bankruptcy and Creditor Rights The Firm has extensive experience in bankruptcy, workouts and in all aspects of debtor/creditor relationships, and has represented a wide array of secured creditors, including factors and financial institutions and unsecured creditors, as well as debtors and trustees, in the full scope of insolvency issues arising in workouts, reorganizations and Chapter 11 and 7 bankruptcy proceedings.
The Firm also has considerable experience in pursuing a wide variety of effective remedies outside of bankruptcy to facilitate collection of a broad array of commercial debt and the enforcement of domestic and foreign judgments.

Employment Law The Firm has significant experience counseling its clients as to the complex network of laws that controls how employers must treat prospective, current and former employees. We have successfully advised clients on state and local labor laws, and have further successfully advised clients on and litigated claims in both administrative agencies and courts, based on employment discrimination and sexual harassment under local, state and federal laws. The Firm also has significant experience drafting and litigating restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements, and is prepared to handle these matters on an emergency basis – as they often develop quickly and require prompt attention.

Estate Planning and Wealth Protection The Firm has substantial expertise in all of the traditional trusts and estate areas, including estate and gift planning on the federal and state levels. We have expertise in such areas as family business succession, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, charitable trusts, estate freezes and the special legal problems of the elderly, including conservatorship and guardianship proceedings, medical planning and health care decisions. We work with our clients to identify their personal goals and objectives and assist them in preparing appropriate plans to ensure they optimize the management of their affairs and maximize the transfer of their wealth.
We have extensive experience in drafting and implementing a wide variety of estate planning vehicles including: wills, irrevocable life insurance trusts, grantor-retained interest trusts, revocable living trusts, charitable trusts (remainder and lead trusts), charitable foundations, lifetime gift-giving programs and qualified renunciations (post mortem planning). Life and Viatical Settlements Our Life Settlement Group attorneys have a broad range of experience representing financing entities, providers, brokers, mortality companies and other service providers within the life settlement industry.
We routinely draft and review transaction documents for financing entities and providers in connection with the purchase and sale of U.S. life insurance policies. We act as the liaison for lenders, financing entities and life settlement providers in life settlement transactions. We also perform regulatory compliance for life settlement providers, including document approval with state insurance departments.
We also represent various other service providers in the industry in connection with the development of new products for the life settlement industry.

Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution The Firm's diverse litigation and alternative dispute resolution practice includes advocacy for plaintiffs and defendants involved in a wide variety of controversies. Our attorneys regularly appear before federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate level, administrative agencies, as well as the American Arbitration Association, FINRA and other arbitration and mediation panels.

Securities Law The Firm has extensive experience in securities practice, including the representation of brokerage firms and participation in public, private and venture capital offerings where we have represented issuers and underwriters, proxy contests and going-private transactions. We represent institutional purchasers in private placement markets and advise issuers and broker-dealer firms in proceedings before state and federal regulatory agencies as well as mutual funds and investment funds, commodities, and trading advisors in regulatory compliance matters. Our practice includes federal and state securities law compliance for clients whose securities are publicly traded and listed on an exchange or on NASDAQ.
