Petek Gunay was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. Petek graduated from the internationally acclaimed Robert College High School in Istanbul, and received her B.A. in Economics from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After working as an Operations and Foreign Exchange Specialist with the New York branch of a Turkish commercial bank for two years, Petek attended, and graduated cum laude from, Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Journal of Law and Policy and a Dean's Merit Scholar.

Petek practices civil litigation with an emphasis on complex commercial, contract and business disputes, and has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in actions to pierce the corporate veil. During her career, Petek has skillfully handled litigation matters both in federal and state courts involving many substantive areas of law, including, but not limited to, intellectual property law, boxing and entertainment law, real estate law, and employment law. Petek's broad-based litigation experience and diverse background allow her to understand the unique needs of each client she represents and to be a dynamic, confident and effective advocate both in and out of the courtroom.
